Policies and Guidelines
Details of major policies and guidelines implemented by this office are contained in the student handbook. In summary, the more important policies governing various aspects of student management are as follows:
Pre-enrollment/On-line enrollment
This is done before the final exams as a way of reserving slots in classes a student wishes to take. Those who do not enroll as scheduled shall forfeit their reservations and can only avail of classes that have not yet reached the maximum number of students.
Student load/Subject Sequence
Students should be guided by the sequence of subjects as contained in their respective curriculum. However, the on-line advising system will not allow students to take subjects whose pre-requisites have not been credited or passed.
Overload
An overload not exceeding 3 units is allowed to non-graduating students for purposes of fulfilling a pre-requisite or to make up for a previously failed subject.
Overload or programmed overload not exceeding 6 nits is allowed to graduating students in their terminal year.
The last day of filing overload requests shall be the last day of late enrollment. Requests for overload shall no longer be entertained after regular classes have started.
Petitioned Classes
A petition to open a class should be signed by at least 20 students.
Adjustments
Students can make adjustments in their regular enrollment only after they are officially enrolled. Students shall be held responsible for ensuring that their adjustments are validated.
Cross-enrollment
Graduating students may be allowed to cross-enroll a maximum of 6 units in their terminal year, and is given as a last resort after all other remedies for remaining deficiencies have failed. Cross-enrollment shall be allowed only to other schools that are accredited, autonomous, deregulated, centers of development or centers of excellence.
